Sourdough v2.0

I fed my sourdough yesterday and when I took the loose fitting lid off it, I was hit with a massively powerful vinegar aroma. Although I'm fond of my pet, it was clearly time to start a new one.

I rigged a new jar, put it underneath my trusty climbing plant (which I suspect is a collaborating point for wild yeast) and a day later it was already bubbling. Although summers here are way to intense, I suppose the nice thing would be an easy harvest of sourdough cultures once my old one turns to vinegar.

Tomorrow I'll be making sourdough rye loaves with toasted caraway seeds in 'em. YUMS. I'll bring some of this with me Sunday when I go hiking up a mountain with a buddy.
