Frothy Beer and Pizza

Ayu's up at her parent's house for the remainder of this week. Her grandmother isn't doing too hot and she's gonna be visiting her as much as possible. It sounds like she's doing bad, but I'm hoping she'll hold on and pull through. I met her only once but she's a whirlwind of a person. She's extremely energetic, outgoing, friendly and down to earth. I'm hoping, based on my meeting with her, that she's holding on with all the energy I saw when I met her.

We're on the cusp of summer classes here and I'm taking advantage of my last night of freedom from work to enjoy some beer and pizza making.

Here's the beer:

FROTHY! This beer was my second bottle of the night. The first was a french farmhouse ale called a saison. I used a cup of that beer to put into my pizza dough. The beer pictured above is a "Sierra Nevada Pale Ale". Yes...there's a reason that's in quotes.

And here's me par "grilling" some pizza crusts. I'm pretty sure if my landlord knew about some of the stuff I do while cooking here, we'd be kicked out in a heartbeat...

I took our steel colander, turned it upside down, borrowed the rack from our toaster oven and fired up the burner. It works pretty well. It works AWESOME for making crisps. Dinner tonight was a pizza roll (experimental) with a crisp brushed with olive oil and a little sea salt and fresh cracked pepper.

Now I must finish some work I've been putting off for about 4 months. Have a good one!
