These two folks were standing in the hotel lobby. I forget the specs on them, but they were both bagged in Alaskan territory. I was astonished at how big they were. You know, you see them on the Discovery Channel and what not and you don't give it much thought, but when you see them in person, it's terrifying.
This was the view from our hotel room.
We went for a walk in search of a hippy food store and once we left downtown for a bit, the view opened right up to this.
We made a friend on the way to said grocery store. This reindeer's name is Star and he/she was extremely friendly. Speaking of Reindeer, I really wanted to try some Reindeer meat, but I didn't get the chance...
As we were leaving Alaska, this volcano was releasing steam. On the other side of the plane was Mount McKinley, which I also got a chance to see.
Not Alaska, but a nice shot.
Obviously the world is quite messed up right now and this had a huge impact on our trip. I'll write more about what is perhaps one of the weirdest trips anyone can have. Additionally, I hope everyone will keep Japan in their prayers. I'm not a religious person, but if there's a God, I hope he stands by Japan, especially those on the north eastern coast, and helps them through this.
