Good Day

Today was a good day.

I walked to work while listening to a great book on my iPod. I normally drive into work or ride my bike, but since my bike tire is flat and it's cooling off outside, I decided to take a leisurely stroll in.

I got to work, completed my duties and walked back home. I had my reasons for not wanting to stay today. Any other day and I wouldn't mind staying to get some stuff done for a while.

We went shopping and picked up some grub and brews. I purchased a Hitachino Nest White Beer and a Wychwood Blonde Beer (check out the links on the sidebar for more information).

We came back, cracked open the brews, made some nachos in the oven, had a nice dinner and enjoyed a "cheesecake" which came out more like custard. Nevertheless, it was all delicious.

I particularly dig the White Beer with the coriander and orange peel in it. It's rapidly climbing my list as a favorite brew. I had it in Vermont during the winter and it matches the winter climate. It's nice and crisp and the spices add a nice contrast to the cold weather outside. I've had it in Vermont in the summer and here in the summer and it matches the summer climate. Those same spices that provide a contrast to the cold outside seem to provide a nice cooling feeling during the summer time.

Perhaps I'll give it a whack when I figure out the brewing stuff.
