NHK Yakuza

After dealing with a feeling of somethings-not-right-with-my-body-ness for the past 2 weeks, I finally came down with a cold two nights ago. It hasn't been deadly or anything, but it has provided me with some BIZARRE dreams. This one I still remember so I thought I would share it with you...

I was sitting at home, working on something at the table, when NHK came knocking on the door. For those of you who don't know, NHK is the Japanese government mouthpiece. If you have a TV in your house, you MUST pay 3,000 yen or so a month (which, I do not, based on account that I never use my TV, let alone never watch NHK). This 3,000 yen a month is mandated by the law, regardless of whether or not you actually watch it. For those who don't pay, I've heard it's not impossible to get a visit from the Japanese Yakuza asking you "politely" to pay.

So, they came looking for their money. They had some sort of high powered light that allowed them to see through our foggy glass and see our TV. They shouted through the window "We see you have a TV!! You must pay!! If you don't pay then we will deal with you our way!!" I ran over, locked the window and said "NO!! I don't watch it!" The shouting persisted as they used their high powered light to see what I was doing. For those who are wondering, I don't remember if this dream was in Japanese or English.

Finally, having no emotional attachment to our TV, I took my meat cleaver out of the drawer, walked over to the TV, and put the blade through the glass. The NHK people were silent and in shock. I then took the TV, went out onto the balcony and threw the TV on top of their car. After this I said to them "You can keep the TV, I'm not paying you anything." And with that they left, and I woke up with a runny nose.

I'm off to scour the internet to see if there has been a discovery in the Japanese gene pool that dis-enables the use of turn signals when driving.
